Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of exotic wood, probably pernambuco, dark brown with a hint of dark red; cross section round, octagonal for c. 100mm at frog end; no wiring or padding. Head: facing: plain; trapezoid plane; small trapezoid plug. Frog: made of ivory; almost rectangular plane with a c-shape undercut, rear corner perpendicular and its cross section slightly tapered towards the middle; screw cap made of ivory with octagonal cross section; screw made of iron; eyelet of brass.
