Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of ?meatwood, medium dark burgundy; cross section round, octagonal for c. 170mm at frog end; no thread; leather grip (two types of leather but one colour) double padding. Head: facing: plain; rhomboid plane; small trapezoid wedge. Frog: made of dark wood; almost rectangular plane with c-shape undercut; rear corner perpendicular but slightly rounded; cross section slightly tapered towards the bottom; screw cap made of ivory, round cross section; screw made of iron; eyelet of brass.
