Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of exotic wood, dark burgundy; cross section round, octagonal for c. 180mm at frog end; no grip. Head: facing: plain; of rather rhomboid plane, hole for square plug; inner edge of the head is tapered into sharp edge. Frog: made of ivory; rectangular plane with c-shape undercut; rear corner slightly rounded and tapered towards the bottom; screw cap made of ivory, octagonal cross section (not original, probably from a violin bow); screw made of iron; eyelet of brass.
