Method of hair tightening: frog and hair missing. Stick: made from dark brown/burgundy wood; cross section round, octagonal for c. 170mm at frog end; grip: 2 sections of black leather padding separated by thread winding; a brass pipe 80mm long is used to strengthen the stick in the middle. Head: facing: inner ebony strip with outer of ivory, also embracing the tip; trapezoid plane; hollowed hole for trapezoid plug. Frog: missing.
