Drum, double-headed
Double-headed drum, Chinese. Red lacquer rim. Heads decorated with hand-painted polychrome dragon and bird; fastened with domed iron nails painted silver. Two suspension rings. Used by James Blades in the original performance (9th June 1966) of 'The Burning Fiery Furnace' by Benjamin Britten.
