Miniature violin

viol-shaped body, similar to V 11, with shallow ribs. Back: 1 piece sycamore, moderately arched; single purfling carried straight across below the button; varnish red over gold. Belly: 1 piece pine, rounded f-holes set upright and rather low. Ribs: plain sycamore. Fingerboard wedge-cut to give angle; neck, head 1 piece, ending in meanly cut scroll. Pegbox: rounded edges, 4 ebony pegs each with pearl spot in the end. Length 465, back 205, width 102/71/122, depth 31
