Violin bow
stick: round, pernambuco, varnished golden brown; head rather square; gold and blue wire lapping; frog and adjuster nickel-mounted; an ingenious hinge-device one quarter of the way along, enabling the bow to be folded up; this consists of a steel plate with brass bushes secured with steel rivets, and a sliding metal collar stopped by a small screw in the top side of the stick; a retaining screw is mounted at the lower end of the stick, length 737 (folded 595), hair 649, diameter at frog 8.0, diameter at head 5.0, weight 58.5 gr.
