Technical description: Head and tuning-slide section cocus; body (in one piece) and foot rosewood; german silver keys; 6 german silver ferrules; metal-lined head; screw-stopper; tuning-slide; large oval embouchure-hole; large holes beneath covers, little variation in size except for smaller upper C♯ hole; overlapping low C / C♯ touches; metal-tipped tenons. L0: B♭.LI: B. L2: A. L3: PL-G. L4: G♯; long F. R1: F♯; C. R2: E. R3: PL-D; cross F. R4: D♯; low C♯; low C. Keymount type: knob for usual 8 keys, except in-line G♯ and cross F; rod/pillar for covered action and in-line G♯. Cross F probably linked to covered action (but with cylinder cup key), cf 8-keyed flute with covered action (49). Keyhead type: cylinder cup with leaf springs for usual 8 keys, except in-line G♯; concave cylinder cover plates with needle springs for covered action and in-line G♯.
