Ndere (end-blown flute)
Technical description: End-blown notched open flute; made from phragmites reed ('ekiwuuwe'), leaf spike holes sealed with wax and aluminium foil; overwound with bands of copper wire; 4 finger-holes; pentatonic scale; third largest of six sizes, 'ntengezzi'.
