Cornet. Nominal pitch: B♭.
Technical description: Silver-plated brass. The leadpipe goes between the two legs of the 3rd valve tuning-slide. Leadpipe enters 3rd valve casing at the front; 3rd valve loop leaves from left and returns to right; bellpipe exits 1st valve casing at the left. With double water-key with single touchpiece. The moving part of the main tuning-slide has the proximal outer leg and the distal inner leg. With shank for B♭. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top-sprung with spring in hollow upper stem; alignment by unequal lugs on spring plate.
