20-inch tambourine.
Technical description: Wooden shell, lapped construction with screws reinforcing the joint; thumb-hole plain with no bush; 19-inch head. Eight sets of paired gilt finish jingles, each jingle with high central dome. Head lapped and bound with thread onto an iron flesh hoop. Nine tensioning hooks over flesh hoop with wing nuts tightened against brackets mounted on the frame.
