Néocor. Nominal pitch: F etc.
Technical description: Brass. Upward-directed ball, detachable by screwed joint. As with the cornet à pistons, the valve cluster is placed mid-way along the sounding length. With shank for F and four crooks for E, E♭, D and C. Valve type: 3 Stölzel valves with spring inside hollow stem; alignment by screwed pin which also locates lower end of spring; wax partitions. Repair History: Crook (d) is a cornet crook for G and is not long enough to serve well as a néocor D crook.
