Main part of bridge 88.5mm long and 20.5mm wide with ebony extending mustachios terminating with ebony dots with mother-of-pearl eyes. The bridge pins are ebony. Soundhole 77mm diameter. Purfling around the edge of the soundhole consists of an ebony band, then an ivory strip, ebony band, ivory strip, ebony strip, then a three strip checkered design in ebony and mother-of- pearl, then an ebony strip, ivory strip, ebony band, ivory strip, and ebony strip. The bands are twice the width of the strips. The purfling around soundboard consists of an edging of dark fruitwood with strips of ebony/ivory/ebony inside. The sides and back are of cherry. The sides are not bookmatched in the normal sense, but come from adjacent pieces, one of which has been rotated by 180°. There is a tapered ebony piece at the bottom of the sides. The back is in two pieces, bookmatched, and has been laid over a spruce core. The edging between the back and sides is of dark fruitwood with an ebony strip inside it. The heel and neck are veneered in ebony and join at a sharp angle. The head is of maple, with ebony coverings on the top and bottom faces. The neck attaches to the head with a Vjoin. The head is figure of eight shaped, and there are six friction pegs of fruitwood with ebony buttons. The nut is of ebony. The fingerboard is ebony with metal bar frets, 17 in total. It is glued to the surface of the soundboard. The neck is 317mm long, 47.5mm wide at the nut and 59mm wide at the body join. Repair History: A small section of soundboard edging and purfling has been replaced on the treble side near the bottom. One bridge pin, having an ivory eye, is a replacement.
