Cornet. Nominal pitch: The inscribed gradations suggest C, but playing tests suggest B♭.
Technical description: Brass. Each tuning-slide has one male and one female leg. With one crook. Unusual feature of adjustable restrictor at entry from leadpipe to valve section, purpose unknown, possibly a built-in mute. Fitting for music card holder. Valve type: 3 rotary valves, cork buffers on top caps.
