Tenor/bass trombone. Nominal pitch: B♭+F.

Technical description: Brass with german silver trim (subsequently lacquered overall, not a normal practice for German instruments); inner slides and stockings chromium-plated; ligature clamp at joint; water-key. Valve type: Rotary valve, cork buffers on top cap, leather thumb-loop for actuation. Repair History: Some leakÊ or buzzÊ repaired by maker (letter of May 1960 and receipt of November 1960 refer). Damaged c1990 when dropped in its case and the valve collided with the slide; one inner slide a replacement. A ligature screw fixed by L.Taylor when the joint became worn and slippy.
