Clarinet with corps de rechange. Nominal pitch: B♭/A.
Technical description: Boxwood with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. Eight pieces: mouthpiece, two barrels (A/B♭), two upper sections (A/B♭), two middle sections for the fingers of the right hand (A/B♭), lower section with keys with bell adjustable via tuning slide. Metal tuning slide in barrel. Speaker hole at the front of the instrument, interesting and ingenious way of acting. Double tone-holes for C♯₃/G♯₅. Throat A♭-side-key presumably for R1. Brass tube in thumb-hole. Adjustable levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a fusiform swelling. 7 keys. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; throat A♮. L2: T. L3: double T. L4: E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅. R1: T; throat A♭. R2: T. R3: T; side B♮₃/F♯₅. R4: T. G♯₃/E♭₅. Keymount type: pinned in wooden blocks, swelling. Keyhead type: flat square
