Technical description: Initial section and bow of brass, remainder of wood with leather binding; ivory or bone tone-hole bushes; brass stays, bell mount, and keywork; The instrument is arranged to be held horizontally; the right hand underneath and to the right of the tube. Six finger-holes; four remaining closed-standing keys for L1, R4 and two for R0 with leaf springs, SATK. A brass plate to affix an attachment (possibly a hook or ring for carrying cord, now absent) is screwed with four screws to the inside of the large bend near the bell end.; Nominal pitch: C.; Type or system: 5 keys.; Keyhead type: flat round.; Keymount type: brass saddles.; ; ;
