Technical description: Brass; circumferential seam at bell flare; French bell rim. One coil, mouthpipe yard to right of bell (from player's viewpoint) with three stays to bell yard. The bore profile is that of a cornet rather than that of a trumpet. Tuning-slide in first bow, pulling away from player. With rings for banner on large bow and on bell; remnant of chain on proximal ring. With water-key.; Nominal pitch: 5½-ft G.; ; ; ; ; Usable pitch: Probably built for use at circa A?=|440|Hz.;
