Clarinet in A
This is a clarinet made of boxwood, in five sections (barrel, upper, middle and lower joints, and bell), with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. It has five flat, square-cover keys mounted in knobs and lower stock bulge, with flat springs attached to keys. The mouthpiece is made of dark wood with grooves, and has a thread ligature. There is also an early crack repair made with twine in the bell. Nominal pitch: A.
