Oboe
This oboe was used at the Sudbury Parish Church. It is made of stained boxwood, in three sections (top and middle body joints, and bell), with ivory ferrules and silver keywork. Is had two keys (E-flat and C) mounted on a raised ring and knob, with flat, round-covers, and flat springs attached to keys. The E-flat key has a circular touch and the C key has a swallow-tail touch. The third fingerhole is doubled with an oblong cove. There are two vent holes on the bell flare. Conical bore. Nominal pitch: C.
