Transverse flute
Side-blown flute made of boxwood in four sections (head, upper and middle joints, and foot), with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. It has four flat, square-cover keys, mounted with pivots in protruded wooden knobs and foot stock bulge, with flat springs attached to keys. It has a boxwood cap with cork stopper, and an oval embouchure hole. Nominal pitch: C.
