Trumpet
This instrument was presented to Corporal J. Hudson by Lieutenant F. W. Wood, Director of Music and Band of H. M. Scots Guards, as a mark of esteem on retirement, in 1926. It is a trumpet made of silver-plated brass with three top-sprung pistons, with silver-plated nickel-silver buttons and cork bumpers. The instrument has a quick-change rotary valve switch to alter the pitch. There is a water-key on the main tuning slide bow. Nominal pitch: B-flat or A.
