Clarinet

Clarinet made of cocus wood in four sections (barrel, upper joint, lower joint, and bell) with silver ferrules and keywork. It has thirteen cylinder-cup keys, plus three ring keys and a closed-key for the fifth fingerhole, all mounted in posts with rods, with flat and needle springs attached to keys and posts, cork paddings, and ebonite rollers for the lower keys. The first fingerhole is raised. The tenon joints are tipped with metal, wrapped in cork, and the socket joints are lined with metal. Clinton key system. The mouthpiece is made of ebonite. Nominal pitch: B-flat.
