Bow
Violin bow with a round stick made of Pernambuco wood. The ebony frog has a mother-of-pearl slide and eye, which is embellished with a silver ring. Silver is also used for the ferrule, heelplate, underslide and button. The face protecting the tip is made of nickel, fixed with two pins. A silver wire wrapping and a black thumb leather protect the stick near the frog. This bow was possibly made by the Gautrot firm, which manufactured stringed instruments and bows between 1845-1884.
