Valve trombone
Valve tenor trombone. Long model. Brass with nickel silver-plated valve caps and touches and stay fittings. Three rotary valves. Circular touches positioned over mouthpipe, which has hook for the little finger. Tuning slide with water key on bottom branch. Bell section with one stay, valve section with three, including one in tuning slide. Bell and valve sections offset by angled gooseneck above stay and connected with a butterfly screw fitting. Socket for music card holder on third valve loop. Bell stamped: ALLIANCE/LAFLEUR/J.R.LAFLEUR & SON Ltd./LONDON.PARIS.NEW YORK/FOREIGN; A crest and feather emblem stamped beneath the text ALLIANCE
