Mandolin-banjo

Mandolin-banjo with four double courses of strings. The skin head is fixed in place by twelve metal bolts that pass through holes in the metal tension ring. The outer rim is of stained hardwood, encircling the head and enclosing the back. It is fixed to the inner assembly by ten metal brackets. Wooden bridge and metal tailpiece. The fingerboard has seventeen frets. There are mother-of-pearl position markers at frets 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15 and 17. The eight strings are tuned by machine heads with plastic buttons.
