Double flageolet
English double flageolet. African blackwood (grenadilla) with nickel-silver plated brass keywork; five ferrules and eight studs of ivory. Tubes of equal length. Wind distributor and mouthpiece missing. String lapped tenons. Seven keys, two of which are cutter keys. Other keys are block mounted with square flat flaps and leather pads. Left hand tube has five large tone holes, three small holes and one which has been plugged. Right hand tube has four large tone holes and one smaller hole. End of right hand tube has been partially plugged with cork. Sponge chamber is stamped: METZLER/LONDON; Stock is stamped: METZLER/LONDON/105. WARDOUR.
