Clarinet
Clarinet. Nominal pitch: E flat. Boxwood with brass keys and ivory ferrules. Six pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, left hand joint, right hand joint, lower joint, bell. The six keys are block mounted with square flat flaps and leather pads. Block mounts are turned away except one which is full and round in profile. String lapped tenons. Barrel joint, upper joint, middle joint and lower joint are stamped: G.ASTOR/LONDON; with the emblem of a unicorn's head beneath. Bell is stamped: G.ASTOR/No. 72/CO......./LONDON; with a crest emblem above and unicorn's head beneath.
