Cymbals; sbub-chal
Bubchah (Monpa), rol-mo (Tibetan), a pair of large bronze cymbals. Each cymbal has a hole at the apex of the deep boss or dome for a carrying strap of maroon cloth and hide. The cymbals are stored with a barsab (Monpa), a padded ring of cloth between them. Dimensions over all: 59 x 201 mm (Horniman Museum number: 2005.140.1); 61 x 200 mm or 2.40 x 7.87in. (Horniman Museum number: 2004.140.2).
