Esraj; fiddle
Esraj, fiddle. The waisted wooden body has a skin soundtable, and an additional strip of leather supports the bridge. The neck has a convex fingerboard with sixteen tied metal frets. Four bowed metal strings pegged from the head, and fifteen sympathetic strings pegged from a narrow board on the side of the neck.
