Bandurria
Bandurria, flat-backed lute with six double courses of wire strings. The ribs are made from two strips of dark brown wood. The table is of a light brown wood with multiple purfling in various woods inlaid around the edge and the circular soundhole. The neck is short, terminating in a long pegbox with mother-of-pearl around the machine heads. The fingerboard has twelve frets. The strings pass over a bone nut and a wide straight elaborate bridge of dark wood, and are secured to a narrow wooden tailpiece at the base of the soundtable. The strings are clamped to the bridge with a long flat cover of dark wood. Labelled: Sentichordi Hermanos Valencia.
