Guitar
Guitar. The two-piece back and ribs are of rosewood, with stringing in a lighter wood at the centre and around the edges. Varnished pine belly. Simple tie bridge for 6 double courses of strings without a saddle. The inlaid decoration in marquetry and mother-of-pearl on the table around the soundhole and below the bridge is probably 18th century. Two transverse bars above and below the soundhole, one on the back. The eleven metal frets on the fingerboard and five on the body are unlikely to be original. The head has twelve (later) pegs for six double courses of strings. Labelled inside the back :'RAFAEL ROLDAN/me hizo in Malaga/Ano de 1797'.
