Molo; tanged lute
Molo, tanged lute. The trough-shaped resonator is hollowed out of a solid piece of wood. The skin soundtable is bound to the back with interwoven leather thongs. The wooden neck passes into the resonator, emerging at top of the large round soundhole in the skin soundtable, just below the bridge. Three strings are made of twisted fibre, two attached to the top and one to the middle of the neck with leather thongs. The strings are attached to the three tines at the base of the neck.
