Whistle; vessel flute
Whistle, vessel flute with duct. The globular vessel is of lead-glazed earthenware with a spout mouthpiece at the back, two handles in the form of arms, and a head to represent a man wearing a hat. The spout mouthpiece has a square mouth or window on the front side, immediately behind the hat. A round fingerhole is positioned on the front surface to imitate a button on the man’s shirt. The glaze is yellow, with the hat, the facial features and two further buttons detailed in purple underglaze. Incised: 'Tadeusz Barbel 1962' under the round base.
