Lur; trumpet
Lur, raklur, end-blown trumpet, made from a length of softwood. The outer profile of the integral, cup-shaped mouthpiece is wider than the top of the pipe and is scored with two lateral grooves. Birch bark is wrapped in an anticlockwise direction (from the player's perspective) around the entire instrument except the mouthpiece.
