Spike fiddle
Spike fiddle with a single string. Hemispherical gourd back, lizard-skin soundtable. The wooden neck bisects the resonator to form a spike at the distal end. The horsehair string is fastened to the neck with a leather wrapping. Cotton carrying strap.
