Melodeon
Melodeon, diatonic button accordion. Painted softwood ends, 11x6in/279x152mm, secured to frames by external bolts mounted on lyre-shaped plaques. Right-hand end has two rows of pearl buttons (11+10), screwed onto wood levers under the fretwork pallet cover. Left-hand has 8 pearl-tipped bass buttons in two rows, plus pearl tipped bass button and fretted end panel with 4 brass feet. 13-fold bellows with metal corners. Later leather hand and thumb straps. Both front panels labelled: 'Milano organetto, Pat. Holders DRGM 262041'. Metal corners stamped: 'Milano organetto, made in Germany'. Both bellows securing straps embossed: 'Milano organetto'. No serial number.
