Accordeon. Rosewood veneered ends with simple coloured marquetry. Right-hand has 16 square pearl keys, 8 on each row; two brass palm levers, one with brass protecting cage; 18 pearl pallets. Left-hand has decorative brass spoon air lever, with two articulated bass keys. Rectangular brass reed plates, with steel reeds secured by double riveted cross pieces. 6-fold leather-edged bellows with decorative papers. Inner pan stamp: 'M Howson Maker, 10 Drury Hill, Nottingham'; also stamped twice under action in ink. Oval stamp on right-hand end: 'Busson Brevete Paris'. No serial number.
