Transverse flute
Transverse flute of bamboo. The six round carved and burnt out fingerholes are of uneven size. The end cap and distal ferrule are of a yellow metal coated with a white metal. The end cap has a small central knob. Inscribed longways in black ink beneath the embouchure: 'No. 1. D'. A printed gold and red label between the embouchure and the fingerholes reads: 'BENGAL FLUTE/CALCUTTA'.
