Zhong with Plain Design (Bronze bell)
Generally well preserved. The lug on top for hanging the bell is broken and missing. Made of bronze, with greenish brown colour on the surface. The shape of the body resembles two arched tiles closed together. The upper surface (wu) is flat. The mouth (yu) is curved. The cylindrical handle (yong) is sealed up on its top surface. No traces of polishing are found inside the body of the bell. The mouth (yu) has no inner lips. The studs are of two-tier columnar shape. The bell has a plain design.
