Chunyu [a large bronze drum]
The body of the drum is broken and misshapen. Made of bronze. Rust and corrosion on the surface, which is grey-green in colour. The upper section of the drum is round and bulging, and the middle section is slim. There is a small lip inside the bottom rim. The loop on the top surface is in the shape of a tiger with a hanging tail that is curled at the end. The tiger loop is 6.8cm high, 15.4cm long and 4.8cm wide. Boat designs are cast under the tiger’s head and to its side. There are wuzhu coin patterns underneath the tiger’s tail.
