Bronze Drum with Flying Flag Pattern

Preserved in good condition. The lower section of the drum is slightly broken. Made of Bronze. The body of the drum is short and squat with the top surface slightly smaller than the upper section. The upper, middle and lower sections of the drum are not clearly defined. There is a bulging ribbed ring around the middle section of the drum. A pair of long, flat ears are attached to the upper section. The centre of the top surface is decorated with a sun that has twelve rays. The sun is surrounded by eleven rings of decreasing size, one inside the other. The flying flag patterns in between the rings are the main design. Other designs include two layers of studs, cloud and comb patterns. The body of the drum is decorated with 12 patterned bands that include cloud and thunder patterns.
